Ah Edd, they've turned autocap off in deference to Apple users who can't start any name with a cap... it's all i, i, i with that mob. ;)

Anyway, good review, I really like Google Drive, think it's the best thing they've done since, well Google. Have it all singing and dancing on and offline, Dropbox is for file sharing, Google Drive is for collaborating, SkyDrive - crashed and burned.

Hi Edd,

Great piece on this innovative style of lectures. I was just wondering would you have any demos or examples of your final production? I am currently about to start a project recording lectures with camtasia studio and video to assist the presentation slides. I feel your production wouyld give me great guidance on how to utilize camtasia effectively.

Cheers

One simple change to your previous workflow would give you practically the same benefit without having to fight the Google docs interface on the iPhone - add gmail as a store for your notes.
Then use notepad but save them to gmail - they are then available on the PC straight away.

Alternatively, what I do is use any of the "proper" doc editors that can save directly to DropBox.

I've also tried to google docs editor, and it's just too much of a compromise for me to put up with, except when needed to work on an existing google doc document. I certainly wouldn't make it my primary tool.

Oh dear, did I start something here. Anyway... my profound statement for this friday morning is... if you want to buy a console to play your mate at tennis while lounging in your arm chairs then buy a Wii. You can't get away with this on the Playstation Move, thus making it more immersive. I've never seen Roger Federer turn up at Wimbledon with his G Plan sofa!
The technology in the Move has given Nintendo something to think about, and that is 1-2-1 motion. Whether they do this through the controller or controller-less route (like the Kinect), who knows. It will only be a matter of time before Nintendo release their next console in this line-up, so the Wii will soon be old (that my opinion anyway).
I do agree with you about the game selection though but it is early days still for the Move. I think the second generation Kinect will trump all of this anyway, so I will now stop writing... time for more coffee!
